Last week, we welcomed 15 partner organisations from 12 countries to University College Cork for our official 𝐤𝐢𝐜𝐤-𝐨𝐟𝐟 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭. It was an incredible two days of collaboration, creativity, and shared purpose - and we're so proud to share this behind-the-scenes overview of how it began.
Across the two days, we heard directly from representatives from each 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐏𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐚𝐠𝐞, giving everyone a chance to understand the full scope of this ambitious initiative:
WP1 – Exploring the long-term effects of testicular cancer
WP2 – Leading co-design of the XR platform with survivors, caregivers & clinicians
WP3 – Designing and running a large-scale, multi-country randomised controlled trial
WP4 – Evaluating economic value for health systems and individuals
WP5 – Understanding how and why the platform works across different contexts
WP6 – Investigating ethical, cultural, and policy implications of XR in cancer care
WP7 – Leading communication, dissemination, and policy outreach
WP8 – Project coordination and management
From tech demos and VR headset trials to brainstorming sessions, partner presentations, a UCC campus tour, and of course great conversation over Cork’s finest coffee and a brilliant group dinner at Isaac’s - this event marked the beginning of something truly collaborative.
